Mitchell is honored to announce our Big Break: Discovering Diverse Talent program has been recognized by PR Council, in partnership with PRWeek, as Best PR Firm Diversity Initiative - Honorable Mention. The recognition was announced last night at the annual Diversity Distinction in PR Awards in New York City.
Established by Mitchell in 2010, Big Break: Discovering Diverse Talent is an all-expenses-paid, weeklong internship program that gives students real-world experience while working with talented peers from across the country. Mitchell believes a more diverse and inclusive workplace makes us stronger as a company and helps us serve our clients’ needs to reach increasingly diverse audiences. Recruiting talent with a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives is critical.
The program is also part of a larger agency-wide commitment to champion diversity and inclusion at all levels in all departments. Leaders and team members from across the agency take part in leading sessions during the week-long internship, serving as mentors for the interns, and celebrating the inclusion of the interns in the Mitchell agency experience. It’s a week Mitchell looks forward to all year.
Each class of Big Breakers is special, and 2017 was certainly no different. Here's your chance to hear about the program straight from them:
