Mitchell Communications Group Names Brett Carrey to Lead New York Office

Industry veteran to help broaden Mitchell footprint and grow New York office

NEW YORK, Dec. 16, 2013 – Mitchell Communications Group, a top 35 U.S. award-winning strategic communications firm, today announced Brett Carrey has joined the company as general manager, senior vice president of the firm’s New York office. He will initially be responsible for helping expand the agency’s overall presence and growing the New York client portfolio while also providing strategic counsel to the firm’s existing clients.

Earlier this year, Mitchell Communications Group joined the Dentsu Network as the lead agency in the group’s first global public relations network. Mitchell subsequently expanded its presence by opening offices in New York and Chicago to support existing clients as well as to begin building for the future.

An accomplished industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience in consumer marketing and brand building, Carrey’s expertise spans numerous industries including food and beverage, retail/packaged goods, lifestyle, consumer electronics and sports marketing.

Carrey was most recently at Ketchum where he led the New York consumer technology practice, serving as group leader and senior counsel to clients in the consumer electronics, retail and online entertainment sectors. Prior to joining Ketchum, Carrey was a senior vice president at MSLGROUP where he led integrated marketing teams for some of the agency’s flagship consumer accounts. He has also held senior positions at Burson Marsteller and Porter Novelli.
